TEACHERS SHOULD TEACH THESE THINGS IN TOO

If you’re seriously concerned that teachers probably do not teach students all they ought to, yeah, you think right! But wait a minute, you might not be thinking in my direction, we are not indicting teachers here and that’s why we’re not talking about school curricula; when it comes to that, kudos to teachers, many of them do justice to it.  But here a few things you will barely find teachers impact in students throughout their whole career which shouldn’t be. Teachers hardly teach:

That failure to pass Mathematics and Integrated Science at the crossroad to senior secondary school is not failure to have the propensity to make it in life.

That 100% score in all subjects at WAEC level is by no means what makes a man successful but mere gateway to another institution of learning; learning which in real sense is endless constant.

That the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, D’Aloisio, Anton Katherine, Sean Parker,  Bill Gate, Wole Soyinka,  Davido, Aliko Dangote, did not always topped their classes, led debates and quizzes and won best students prizes when in college, yet, many people will see them as successful today.

That to be successful, one has to posses that quality they do not teach in class; one has to be gritty, willful and stubborn. That one should defy traditions to really bring about transition. That it is a good sign to raise your hand conspicuously in class and ask questions not only about what you do not do not know but what you do not know well enough.
